Hybrid War as the Last Trump Card in the Interstate Confrontation between the West and Russia

Abstract
The article presents the results of solving the scientific problem of substantiating the essence of the concept of “hybrid war”, as well as the main means of its conduct. To this end, the current aspects of interstate interaction between the West and Russia in the modern period and in the near future, the main periods (phases) of its development and transformation into interstate confrontation in connection with the growing tension of the international and military-political situation are considered. The logic of the implementation of military and non-military threats of the Russian Federation into hostile actions and their integration into a hybrid war is shown, the essence of a hybrid war as a socio-political phenomenon that arose to resolve the extremely aggravated geopolitical, political, economic and civilizational contradictions between the parties to the conflict is shown, the main forms and methods of conducting a hybrid war are shown.
