<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article examines the evolution of the historiography of the Great Patriotic War in Uzbekistan during the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. The research is based on a comprehensive historiosophical approach and a comparative analysis of a complex of scientific historical materials. The article pays special attention to the analysis of methodological approaches and thematic trends in the study of war. It is shown that while in the Soviet period the war was considered as part of a single Soviet historical narrative, in the post-Soviet period there has been a rethinking of approaches to studying the events of 1941-1945. The paper analyzes the current state of historiography, including the publication of new materials and changes in terminology. The results of research of scientific conferences, monographs and educational publications of the last 30 years are presented.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Великая Отечественная война</kwd><kwd>Вторая мировая война</kwd><kwd>историография Узбекистана</kwd><kwd>историческая память</kwd><kwd>советский период</kwd><kwd>постсоветский период</kwd><kwd>методология исторического исследования</kwd><kwd>историческая наука</kwd><kwd>Узбекистан</kwd><kwd>военная история</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Great Patriotic War</kwd><kwd>World War II</kwd><kwd>historiography of Uzbekistan</kwd><kwd>historical memory</kwd><kwd>Soviet period</kwd><kwd>post-Soviet period</kwd><kwd>methodology of historical research</kwd><kwd>historical science</kwd><kwd>Uzbekistan</kwd><kwd>military history</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Алимджанов Б.
