Статья посвящена анализу применения обеими противоборствующими сторонами штурмовой авиации в ходе Малгобекской оборонительной операции 1942 го да. Данная операция являлась одной из ключевых составных частей битвы за Кавказ и оказала важное влияние на весь исход летне-осенней кампании 1942 года. Обеими сторонами в ходе операции активно применялась штурмовая авиация для поддержки наземных войск, а также борьбы с авиацией противника на аэродромах. В то же время обращается внимание на то, что в силу причин разного характера обе стороны не смогли должным образом добиться массирования сил и средств штурмовой авиации для использование ее огромного потенциала в поддержке наземных войск.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the use of attack aviation by both opposing sides during the Malgobek defensive operation of 1942. This operation was one of the key components of the battle for the Caucasus and had a significant impact on the entire outcome of the summer-autumn campaign of 1942. Both sides actively used attack aviation during the operation to support ground troops, as well as to combat enemy aviation at airfields. At the same time, attention is drawn to the fact that, due to various reasons, both sides were unable to properly achieve the massing of forces and means of attack aviation to use its enormous potential in supporting ground troops.
